anyone ever see penny like this

I found this penny in my collection and it looks bronze maybe anyone have a clue and what it is worth

    We made some like this in my chemistry class in high school. I forgot what we used, but we put it in this stuff that made it silver colored, then we set it on a hotplate and it turned bronze colored. It was cool.

    Looks like a 1989. It would be a copper-plated zinc cent. Worth about a cent + seeing as how it costs more than a cent to produce a cent these days. Looks like it could be in MS condition but the pice is very small.

    Color has probably been altered through electrolysis...that's my guessimage

    The coin has been altered by plating or other method. No special value. Although the US has never minted a "penny" we will allow the term under editorial license. Good luck in your collecting.

    I once sent a cent with a scent to the graders
    It cost me 2000 more to get it back in a bag
    The experts said it was not genuine, so I paid my tax bill with it !
